But before I get down to my to-do list I wanted to share a bit of my weekend with y'all and thanks to Instagram it is oh so easy to do!
The shop is full of lots of Christmas goodies! You should really check it out :)
Now don't freak out at the ugliness. My mom told me it looks like something out of a 70's lake house lodge. But I have a major plan. Paint, distress, seal, new drawer pulls, and chicken-wire where the mirror is. It will go in my craft room that is now getting a slight revamp. It will be amazing, trust me. At 40% off at a Habitat for Humanity General Store and in excellent condition, solid wood people, solid wood! I couldn't pass it up.
All of the boys are a tad too heavy for the little Lightning McQueen so we came up with a plan and they love it! Whoever is in the back is in for a wild ride. The squeals of delight could probably be heard in another state.
Friday morning I did a little crafting with my sister-in-love :) These burlap wreaths were so easy to create! We used this tutorial here. The plan is to decorate them for each new season. I'm thinking deep red and green giant felt poinsettias.I spent most of my afternoons in the craft room, the afternoon sun in there makes me so happy.
The picnic table is getting a huge revamp. Mr. Doozie cut off the benches for me and I'm in the process of turning this thing into a "farm table" for our Thanksgiving feast! I'm loving the way it is turning out :)
So there you have it! Our weekend roundup!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely weekend! Can't wait to see your finished hutch, your shop looks amazing (I was admiring everything in the store yesterday), and I LOVE what you're doing to that table! Can't wait to see a picture of it all decked out for Thanksgiving! It's going to be amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your projects. I have no problem envisioning the finished product on your real wood hutch/craft storage unit. It will be spectacular. Ditto on the farm table...what a great idea.
ReplyDeleteIs everyone going to be at your house for thanksgiving? The table is a great idea. I kind of like your ugly furniture and I know you will make it even more beautiful, can't wait to see it done!
ReplyDeleteYou must post pics of your thanksgiving table! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, I think that big chest of drawers/bureau will be great for your sewing room.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with that ugly solid wood find! I saw this and thought of you - http://www.bhg.com/videos/m/34254836/kitchen-baking-cabinet.htm#q=kitchen+baking+cabinetvideos/m/32071715/add-instant-messaging-to-cabinets.htm#q=add+instant+messaging+to+cabinets
