Ingredients:
For the cake
6 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
For the topping
4 small apples~diced
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 heaping teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and butter a 10 inch pie pan or a deep 9 inch pan. Blend the butter and sugar until it's nice and fluffy. Add the egg, milk and vanilla and beat for 3 minutes. In a separate bowl sift together the flour and baking powder and add to the wet mixture. Beat until combined then pour into the pie pan.
Coat your diced apples with with the sugar, flour and cinnamon and pour them on top of the batter.
Bake the cake for 10 minutes and then lower the temp to 325 and continue baking for another 50-60 minutes. Let cake cool completely before cutting. When your ready to serve, heat slices individually on plates and drizzle with warm caramel. Enjoy!
