Easy Peasy Hummus Dip

We've been busy around here! Mr. Doozie's family has been visiting from Texas and we have been in full-fledged tourist mode! A few days ago we found ourselves hot, tired and a little hungry but a tad too far from dinner. I scrounged the cupboards and came up with a brilliantly easy hummus dip that we all devoured! Yay for an easy crowd pleasing recipe!

Ingredients:
1 can of Garbanzo Beans (also called Chick Peas) ~ drained and rinsed
1 packet of Italian Dressing Mix
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup lemon juice
Blend it all together in a food processor until you get the consistency you like. You may need to add more olive oil and lemon juice as you go. The measurements above are just a starting point.
Serve it up with fresh veggies or pita chips and enjoy! Refrigerate the leftovers, if you have any :) There is just something so yummy about adding the Italian Dressing to this dip, it is crazy addictingly good!
We are headed out to tour our little town a bit more! Hope y'all had a wonderful July 4th and are enjoying your week!

  2. Sounds yummy! Okay, so did you drain the Garbanzo Beans or just dump them in? Can't wait to try this hummus recipe! We love hummus in this house (and Madison LOVES to help make it).

  7. Must try! My older son loves hummus and I bet I could get him to try more veggies this way. It never occurred to me to use green beans.
