I'm so excited to finally share this with y'all! Eeeek! It has been a few months in the making and there are still a couple of things I want to do, but for now I'm calling it done! I apologize in advance for the amount of pictures :) I love them all and couldn't choose.
So first let's look at what it used to be: a dining room/craft room/kid play area:
Ta-da!!!!! It's my happy place for sure! The entire family loves it, and often time you can find me and Mr. Doozie sipping our morning coffee, looking out at the sun drenched yard :) Bliss. You can see where we moved the eating area in this post. Now let's take a closer look!
It's incredible isn't it? Or at least I think so! Mr. Doozie built the white craft table for me and even painted it the colors I requested. It's crazy sturdy and the perfect spot to work on non-sewing stuff. The chair at the sewing table was from my old desk. I painted it white and distressed it, then dug through my scrap bin and found a fat quarter that covered the seat perfectly! We left the tissue poms hanging from Easter up, they make me smile. I did all the hoop art myself, it was good practice for my embroidery skills. I still need to add the word "create" to the hoop that has the bunting. The ironing board got a quick recover in a fabric that I love, the quickest revamp project ever. The quilt rack will eventually be replaced by a set of dresser drawers that will hold lots of gear, but I'm determined to thrift that find, so it my take a while. The "Be Filled With Joy" print is from Katie Daisy and the frame was found at a local thrift store. It is by far my favorite piece in the room! The chicken wire frame by the craft table will eventually go in the shop, a few more things need to be done with it but for now it has a happy little home. So there you go! My new craft room! If you were to stop by I'd make you a cup of coffee and we would sit together here, maybe play with some felt or just visit while we watched the boys play out in the yard :)
Happy Friday!
