The Kindness of a Stranger

Sipping coffee this morning,
checking my email,
making a plan for the day.

A normal morning,
totally rocked by the kindness of a stranger.

Social media can be a mixed bag, this I know.
However the group of people that have seem to come into my life
through blogger, Facebook, twitter and Instagram
leave me believing that God is actually moving and using
these platforms for good.

This is the email I received:

Hello,

I've been following your Instagram for a while now (you'll probably
recognize my username: FlavorPink) and just the other day I decided to
check out your blog. Your adoption update post really touched my
heart. Not only because I admire your willingness to follow God's
will, but also because my little sister has Down Syndrome and so
special needs kids hold a special place in my heart.

I wanted to do something to help you raise some money for the adoption
costs. I thought maybe I could sell copies of this watercolor painting
I did this past week. (See attached) I would put the listing on Etsy,
$5 for a printable PDF, and then send along all of the money from
sales to you. I know it probably won't add up to much, but every
little bit helps, right?

I hope you are having a lovely Spring. (I'm so so so eager for all
this snow to melt..) Talk to you soon :)

I'm still in shock and am completely humbled by this gesture,
speechless in fact.

So without anymore rambling, I'll introduce our first official fundraiser.
I love how God inspired this to be,
not me forcing something.

Pretty cool huh?

Head on over to her shop to take part!
Thank you again FlavorPink!
