DIY Washi Tape Bunting

I love Washi tape....
I love any excuse to use it....
combine that with my love for bunting.......
and the happy factor is almost too much for me!
Eeeeeppppp!
Y'all please make one of these ASAP
and string it up where you can see it all. of. the. time.

It's guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!
Michael's is where I found the Washi tape and the twine.
Their selection of tape is pretty decent and most of the time paired together in coordinating patterns and colors. I was leaning towards baker's twine but then when I wandered into the jewelry section
and saw the metallic sheen on this cording I went this direction.
It's like baker's twine all dressed up :)
This is almost too easy for a full tutorial.
Seriously!
Cut a length of twine and then fold a two inch strip of tape over it.
I space mine about a half inch apart.
If you fold it crooked, which I do a-lot,
just peel it apart and try it again!
Once all your strips are done,
gently fold it in half and snip the bottom.
I use my pinched fingers as a guide for how much to cut off,
it helps keep the cuts fairly even.
 Snip, snip, snip
and you're finished!

Now if your twine is all wobbly and / or creased use a
warm iron and lightly go over the bunting.
Easy Peasy fix!

So happy and cheerful!
Want it?
Leave a comment and I'll pick a winner on Friday!
There is a full yard and it could be all yours!

  5. Such a neat little decoration that you can keep and keep!! The little girls in my class are buying the duc tape at home depot and making such adorable little flags like this also to decorate their lunch boxes and around their desks. No more boring silver duc tape!! They even make bracelets with it and envelopes to stash their little notes to each other.
