My dad turned 57 a few weeks ago.
Trying to find a gift for him is almost impossible!
My parents home is fully decorated,
every shelf already contains a picture of a grandchild,
and he is outfitted for all of his hobbies.
I didn't want to send another tie
or handprint of the kiddos.
I wanted a personal gift that showed him
he was loved and thought of.
But not something that would become
After brainstorming with my mom
I came up with if I do say a very awesome gift.
He has three grown children, all married and living in various parts of the county.
Our time with him during the year is limited
and its a rarity if we are all under the same roof.
I called my sister and brother got them on board and this is what we created!
A Pintrest board just for him.
Any finds that reminded us of our dad,
things we thought he'd like to read,
links that would make him smile
and let him know he is always thought of!
It's an interactive gift that is always new!
I've mentioned before that my parents are "clickers" always poking around the internet,
sending us random links to watch or read,
so this was right up his alley.
You can edit a board so that it allows more than one person to "pin" to it.
This way he was able to also see who was gifting him with each pin.
It made for a lot of laughter watching each child's personality
come through their choice of pins.
As you can see it was a huge hit
and something that will keep on giving.
Yay for a perfect personal gift!
And a big thanks to all my siblings for helping make this happen!
I love you dad.
Thank you for always loving me, never giving up on me,
and continually showing me what
strength and faithfulness should look like.
