Bedtime Passes For The Win! (Free Downloads)

Sautéed Spinach,
Roasted Brussel Spouts,
Curries
and
Casseroles.....

You name it and my kids fight me on it.

Dinner for a very long time has been a big battle in our house,
usually leaving me exhausted and someone else in tears.

I want my kids to learn to love healthy foods
and when we came up with the bedtime pass
it was like we won the lottery!

I know that everyone has their way of parenting.
So this may not work for you,
but it did for us and for that reason I thought I'd
just toss it out there incase anyone else is feeling
the dinnertime battle

The Rules:
Portions on plate are appropriate and manageable,
"Happy Hearts" and "Happy Voices" are required,
"Busy Eaters" a must.

If they follow the rules they can earn a bedtime pass!

How The Pass Works:
We finish up dinner,
do our normal night time routine:
bathes, teeth brushed, books read
and then right before bed
we will say
"alright, bedtime"....
and then the squeals of delight begin
as they run to grab their pass, waving it in the air like a victory flag.
They love the build up, haha!

Then we set the timer for 15 minutes and let them pick something to do.
The one requirement is that the whole family has to participate,
making it even more awesome in their opinion :)
It's working, y'all.
We don't do it every night now, only when I know there are foods
that will be hard for them.
But thank you Lord it is working!!!

Dinners are now a happy time for us
and that makes for a very happy momma!

Here are the free printables for y'all to download!

    1. look into bedtime pass. the child gets one pass to get out of bed or have the parent come in.
