Monday Monday, you came too quickly and I'm not ready to let go of the quiet and slow moving weekend just yet. We found ourselves back at our favorite little hideaway on Saturday, it was overcast, a cool breeze kept the bugs away and the water was still warm. Perfection. We lazed there for hours, watching the boys play in the water, Dora pup running and splashing and enjoying a picnic lunch. Bliss. But the creme-de-la-creme was that Mr. Doozie brought some rope and we found an old board that had been washed ashore. And POOF a tree swing over the water!
It was glorious. To swing out of the water, hear the squeals of delight from the boys....pitch a tent and let's call that beach home :)
Jack passed out as soon as we got back. That kid can fall asleep anywhere, I'm a little jealous. On another note, I wish I could freeze him at this age. The binkie and blankie, the little baby voice and the way he snuggles, I'm not ready for him to say goodbye to all that. I know it will be sooner than later, all he wants in the world is to be just like Will....I'm going to have two men on my hands before I know it.
Fall is creeping in on us and while the air is still warm the signs are everywhere. Sunday night we took a little walk with the boys and they filled their pockets with all of Fall's bounty. You could hear Jack a block away, "wook wook a wellow weaf". This feels like the first set of seasons where he is really able to explore with Will and get excited about all the changes. I can tell it's going to be fun.
A restock for the shop is underway and hopefully by Friday I will have lots of holiday goodies to share with y'all! So far this GIVE THANKS bunting is my favorite. I almost put Christmas music on in my craft room but I thought that might be a tad much. Normally I have a strict October 1st rule for Christmas music but this year it might start sooner. Ha!
It was a simple weekend but sometimes those are the best. How was yours? Oh, and remember you've still got a week to enter the GIVEAWAY! Have a happy Monday!
