Spray Pad Adventure

This past weekend our little family plus my brother and his crew took a trek to the botanical garden's spray pads. To say the boys loved it is an understatment. Thankfully my in-laws gifted us with a season pass so I'm certain we will be spending many a hot afternoon there!

What's your favorite activity to do in the summer? I'm looking for lots of ideas to mix into these summer weeks! Help!

PS. I made granola bars yesterday that turned out super yummy. Check back tomorrow for the recipe and some drool worthy pictures. Yes, granola bars can be drool worthy ;)

  1. So fun! Wish we had something like that here! :) AND...can't wait for that recipe! I have a granola bar recipe I've used, but I've been looking for a new one b/c I am not in love with the one I currently have.

  2. You just reminded me to hit up the Santee Spray pad and of course we have a cool spell for the next 10 days! My favorite picture is Jack in mid sprint with a very determined look on his face.

  3. I love that my town has put in little splash parks all over the place in recent years! Fun things we like to do in summer are making popsicles, going to the pool, and lately catching lightning bugs. They love that! We have a little net to help, and one of the boys made a plastic bug jar in school a couple years ago with holes in the lid. Oh also on rainy days we're bowling a lot. AMF has a nice summer deal going.

  4. I LOVE the picture of Jack mid-run -- too cute! And Will and those glasses -- such a cool little dude!

I am with you on summer ideas for kids. We go to the pool a lot. Did you see the pinterest idea with the giant tarp water bubble thing - that looks like a fun activity. The zoo in our area is really nice too!
