ReplyDeleteYou know, growing up in California I never really thought much about spring. As a child I associated spring with flowers and we had flowers all year 'round in California. It wasn't until my husband and I lived in England did I come to realize the miracle of spring. After the dark, dreary days of winter it was remarkable to finally see a hint of color as spring approached. Crocus, tulips and daffodils slowly started to peak out; their colors so vibrant against the pitch black earth. Ever since that time, to me, I think of spring as the beginning of the new year - a rebirth when all that was dormant/sleeping comes alive again! It is truly a time I look forward to and appreciate every year no matter where I'm living.
ReplyDeleteWe cannot wait for spring to arrive. In fact, I tell people, I love that Naomi's birthday is in early March because it helps us get through those last couple of weeks of winter!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, we are looking forward to walking to the park, grilling out, windows open, fresh air, aahhhh... I can hardly wait!
I look forward to spring veggies!!
