An Easter Dress For Charli

I had the privilege of sewing an entire nursery line for my dear friend Jess's daughter. That was over a year ago and today we finally used up the last of the scrap fabric. With the last of the fabric I made an Easter dress (tutorial here) for miss Charlotte with a matching hair-bow (which matches in real life, the color is off here) and an iron-on applique tie for her big brother. I cant wait to see the pictures! It was bittersweet using up the last of the fabric, definitely a closing of a chapter with us now living across the country. It's always an extra blessing to sew something for "family;" every stitch is done with love :)
And simply because I can't help myself, below is a picture of my favorite scrap-buster project for her room. A momma owl and her rice bag babies :) could they be any cuter?

  4. Amy- I didn't follow a pattern to make the owls but I've gotten a bunch of emails asking the same question. Over the next month or so I'll make another set and come up with a pattern/tutorial to follow. So check back!
